In her new book, Our Old Folks Had Fields Here, artist and lecturer Veronika Resslová presents photographs and fragments of interviews with farmers she recorded between 2022 and 2023 in New Delhi, India. The book provides space for those whose voices don’t make it to the public media, whom they don’t trust anyway – they don’t want their faces to be seen and their names published. But they are happy to be asked how they live.
